A rare natural phenomenon: the moon tonight colored red by a total lunar eclipse. Worldwide, see the “super moon of blood” good.
The red-orange color gave an impressive picture, and the moon was once larger than normal, because the moon reaches its closest approach to the Earth this year.
Also, on many places in the Netherlands the moon was visible.

For those who missed the fireball in the air: below pictures from all over the world. Only in 2029 this remarkable natural phenomenon can be seen here again.
From see Netherlands
The lunar eclipse began at 02:11 pm. At 4:48 pm the eclipse in Netherlands maximum and the earth was exactly between the sun and the moon. Throughout the Netherlands clocks were put to view the super moon. The words blood moon, super blood moon and super moon were hours long trending on Twitter.
Where does the red color come from?
The total lunar eclipse ‘disappears’ initially full moon lit in the shadow of the earth. In the days when the moon is totally eclipsed, the lunar surface does not receive direct sunlight. It is thereby not completely dark. By deflecting effect of the atmosphere is a little sunlight still on the moon visit. That gives the eclipsed moon a copper glow. NRC editor Eddy Echternach described it as:
“This glow is caused by the Earth’s atmosphere scatters blue light much more strongly than red light. This effect is at its strongest when the sunlight must travel long distances through the atmosphere: at sunrise and sunset for example. This explains not only the red color of the sun is low, but also that of the eclipsed moon. “
The last time that happened a blood moon and a super moon at the same time was in 1982. The next time that occurs, in 2029
