Microsoft has released a new beta version of the Skype application made available for Windows 10 Mobile. This new version integrates much deeper than in Windows 10 Mobile Skype previously did in Windows Phone. Possibly, this app also eventually replace the desktop app from Skype.
In June, Microsoft ended the Modern UI version of Skype and all users were transferred to the desktop version of Skype . Now the company has a Skype app for Windows 10 developed that can be found in the Windows Store. This new app has the description that it is integrated in logical places in Windows 10. You’ll find in the phone application Skype option and a Skype video option, but can be found in the Messages an option to send via Skype messages.
Skype will therefore play a much larger role in Windows 10 Mobile, a bit similar to iMessage and FaceTime from Apple, but under one name. If Windows 10 Mobile eventually gain a larger market share than Skype best can use an attack to services like WhatsApp since the integration of Skype better than WhatsApp on many mobile operating systems. Or third parties such as WhatsApp have the ability to offer the same in-depth integration is still unclear.
Users who install the new beta will see that Skype comes back in various places throughout the operating system. For now, users go there when installing the Skype beta automatically agree that logs are sent to Microsoft as the application freezes. This is because it is still a test version where errors have yet to be removed.
This app will soon also have to go the Skype desktop application replacement is unclear, but it seems particularly given the deep integration.
