BMW will develop self-propelled vehicle – Standard

Luxury Car manufacturer BMW is associated with the American chip manufacturer Intel and Israeli Mobileye build a self-propelled vehicle. The intention is that this car comes onto the market by 2021. The deal was Friday announced just in time for the first one death in an accident with a self-propelled car Tesla.

The BMW robot car inext should be able to drive without any human interference.

Intel is a world leader in semiconductors, while Mobileye own words the specialist in systems that prevent collisions. Both technologies are essential to develop a self-propelled vehicle. Despite the first fatality at Tesla, BMW points out that self-propelled vehicles “with the right technology to make the traffic safer for everyone.”

His robot car would not only on motorways, but also should be in an urban environment function.

BMW adapt the plans also to stay ahead of competitors Mercedes and Audi in the strategy.
