Twitter account of Twitter CEO hacked – NU.nl

The group broke earlier also successful on account of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Spotify founder Daniel Ek and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

As in the previous cases, the hackers knew a message to be placed on the Twitter account via a service that is associated with the account. That was in this case Vine, the video service from Twitter.

The video and the message that the hackers placed has been removed from the account of Dorsey. Engadget has made an image of the tweet.

The notice OurMine refers to its website and notify that test the security of the account. The same message was spread during the previous hacks.

On previous hacks OurMine said to have taken advantage of the large data breach at LinkedIn. Although thereby captured user data are from 2012, many people still have the same login details on other services. Thus hackers can still use the old data
