“We saw particularly high growth in markets where traditionally many premium handsets sold like Europe, but also in emerging markets such as North Africa, Central Asia and Latin America,” said Deputy Director Richard Yu.
Earlier this year, Huawei announced that this year it hopes to sell 140 million smartphones. That’s 30 percent more than in 2015.
The sales of Chinese brand rose in the first six months of this year by 40 percent to 245.5 billion yuan (about 33.4 billion euro) so the company made known on Monday. The operating profit margin declined, however, from 18 percent to 12 percent. Huawei has no earnings disclosed
