BlackBerry launching its new smartphone on August 8 for a suggested retail price of 339 euros. The manufacturer claims that it is the most secure Android smartphone and delivers the DTEK50 with an app that users must be aware of security and privacy
After earlier on Tuesday the most information about the DTEK50 already appeared online, BlackBerry, the device has now officially announced . From the way BlackBerry presents shows the device manufacturer customers want to persuade you to buy the smartphone by stating that it is a safe device.
Those security seems particularly sit in their users aware make how their device is set up and what apps for example retrieve the location of the smartphone. To do that BlackBerry delivers a app called DTEK. This gives a review on the current state of the security of the data on the device and can if necessary give tips. This involves matters such as setting screen lock, data encryption and permissions for apps. The DTEK app can also be set so that a notification is given as soon as an application of a third-party features used as the microphone and camera, or data such as location requests.
The device runs on a modified version of Android 6.0 and BlackBerry claims that the DTEK50 is safer than many smartphones from other brands. The brand claims that the fastest releases security updates for its Android smartphones and stresses that users of other brands have to wait there is often a long time.
The device has a 5.2 “screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. the sOC is the Snapdragon 617 and has 3GB of memory on board along with 16GB opgslagruimte. More storage can be obtained with a micro sD card. the battery has a capacity of 2610mAh.
What hardware and housing concerns DTEK50 seems to be a copy of the Alcatel Idol 4. This unit is for sale from 258 euros. BlackBerry asks his own site 339 euros for its new Android smartphone and said supply unit from August 8.
