Approximately 8 percent of the Dutch is never on the Internet – NU.nl

This reports the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Sunday based on numbers of Internet users over 2015. Compared to 2012, more people find online. When 10 percent of the population has never been online.

Two-thirds of that group was then 75s. Last year, half of over-75s online. It is mainly women who do not use the internet. In 2015 it went to seven out of ten women and almost three in ten men aged 75 years or older.

The main reason is not the Internet “not interested”. Also, many people that they do not have enough knowledge and skills to go on the Internet. 6 percent of the people who is not online, indicates that around is not a broadband connection.

In 2015, 6 percent of persons aged twelve years or more home access to the Internet, a group nearly 870,000 people
