The link can then be shared through, inter alia, Whatsapp, Twitter and email. People who click the link will see a iDeal page that can be paid for a specified amount to the bank account of the one who sent the payment request.
Earlier, it was already possible within the ING internetbankierenapp to generate a QR code for a payment request. However, that can only be scanned by ING and Bunq customers.
ABN Amro released in June, though a similar service, with the app Tikkie. Even with that app can be created iDeal payment requests, which can then be shared with others.
