The Netherlands is thus on the third to last place in the ranking of EU countries based on the representation of women in science, as in the previous Monitor, thus LNVH. Moreover, the proportion of women professors in the Dutch science but slowly: with this rate of growth will be a balanced representation of men and women in the group of professors until 2055 in sight.
That slow growth in the proportion of female professors shows in fact not explained by the absence of qualified female scientists. There already is (more than) enough potential among female associate professors to succeed departing professors in the near future.
The Monitor Women Professors 2015 provides insight into the current percentage of women scientists and administrators at the Dutch universities, university medical centers and scientific organizations.
Since 2003, the Monitor is published every three years by Stichitng de Beauvoir in collaboration with the LNVH. This year, the Foundation merged with the LNVH Beauvoir, bringing the issue of the Monitor has become a task of the LNVH.
