Microsoft event brings beautiful hardware, 3D Windows-updates – DutchCowboys

The big Microsoft event yesterday, place was full of news, with a lot of new hardware. Striking was the extent to which Microsoft seems to have a good presentation is half the work, and it may be that the promofilmpjes rather Apple-like to happen. Of course, there was also Windows news, a lot even, but that is certainly not as sexy as the hardware that Microsoft showed.

Surface Studio

Surface Studio is the all-in-one that Apple just showed you how exactly an appealing device on your desktop. The device seems to be intended primarily for the creative market. The flat 28″ screen with a handle on the computerblok and can be easy as well as laid flat so that you can draw. There is initially also a kind of puck included, Microsoft Surface Dial calls. There you can ‘spin’ to get things off of menus to select. The Studio is doing in terms of specifications not covered for a lot of serious PC’s that you can buy, so it will wonder if the, according to Microsoft’s limited availability at the end of this year is going to provide speculation or rows for the Microsoft Store.

Surface Book

Also, the new laptops, the Surface Book i7 series, looked great. Not only that, Microsoft has also in the holes where the users have been waiting for: battery life. The Books are not cheap (2.400 USD) but you’ve got a laptop with serious power that even 16 hours of battery life. Graphically, this is two times as powerful than the Surface Book last year while, in addition to a slightly larger weight, nothing has changed.

The design is indeed not updated compared to last year, and you could say that it is also not necessarily needed. The Macbook Pro also looks for some years, and although it is too much honour for the Surface Book the same draft status to close, there is nothing wrong with how the Windows laptops look. Also, Microsoft seems to have that if you want to impress with a laptop as well as generating, you just have to do yourself. As of november 10, is the new Book to get.

Windows Creators Update

Windows is now starting to change and now that Microsoft delivered is of the numbered updates can that bit by bit. The Creators Update, which at the beginning of next year may be expected, falls in the same line as the Surface Studio, though you do not need to have. Really needed? A VR-glasses, or anything else for 3D images to look at. Microsoft is betting hard on Augmented and Virtual Reality, and so there are a number of new 3D applications, including 3D Paint, and Powerpoint.

Headsets

Microsoft is going to be so hard on 3D that we soon we will have VR glasses from brands such as Dell, Asus and Acer with a pc offered, for prices under $ 300. Microsoft hopes that by forming partnerships with creators that a VR-glasses are something very popular and people optimal use of the 3D capabilities of the new Windows. Looking ahead is not a bad idea, because if people will soon be accustomed to a 3D-interface is Microsoft on the first row. There are also a number of nice “regular” updates in the new version of Windows, such as persons that you are in the task bar you can hang to quickly exchange files or chat, and a streaming service that the growing gamer and streamer segment of the population will appeal to you.

Fresher

Microsoft is well on the way to the bleary-eyed image of himself shaking with interesting hardware as the Surface Studio, but what this event primarily indicates is that the software maker color dares to confess when it comes to the future. Microsoft sees a lot of AR and VR in the future and try to get in which direction to move in terms of software. If they are a good fit with their vision provides that in the longer term, a considerable advantage, but then they must be the dominant software platform remain.

By itself to put down as something else than the obligatory track that well once in (business) software hear, they try to ensure that people Windows just have to accept it. That new hardware helps there (it will, in any case, in the shops, even if no-one buys it) and although everyone calls that the desktop is dying is know Microsoft that there is still much to happen before we get our ‘real’ computers eventually say goodbye.
