Red Cross wants ikbenveilig.nl deploy faster – Telegraaf.nl

THE HAGUE –

The Red Cross wants the website ikbenveilig.nl faster and more support for it. Ikbenveilig.nl is a platform where people after a disaster can meet. The site was in the pile-ups on the A58 deployed last week for the first time

.

In the aftermath of the accident, 4,000 people visited the site, including several who were abroad, such as Portugal, France and Greece. 58 people have registered on the site. The Red Cross speaks of a successful deployment and wants the search tool therefore now deploy faster.

“Bubbles on a crash site often for some time no longer possible. Traffic often is there still. Then you can do so sign up on the site so that neighbors know if you’re safe, “says a spokesman for the Red Cross. The instrument comes from the United States, where it was used after the bombing in Boston in 2013.

“If we look back, we were able to deploy in the attack on Queen’s Day in 2009, for example, but also as the storms this year above Pinkpop had put through. The challenge now is that we work to raise awareness of the website, “the spokesman said
