Cuba has concluded an agreement with Google. There are servers of the American company on the island, making Google’s services, including Gmail and YouTube, a higher speed of internet connection.
The agreement is signed with the Cuban state-owned company Etecsa. Internet in Cuba is still difficult to access. Most of the inhabitants have no permission to from home have to connect to, and are dependent on expensive wi-fi spots.
Under president Obama, the relationship of the U.S. with Cuba improved. Obama released earlier this year a historic visit to Cuba. It was for the first time since 1928 that an American head of state did that.
