20 percent of online buyers are shopping via smartphone NU.nl

That’s a lot more than a year ago, seen from the Thuiswinkel Market Monitor. The research was carried out by GfK on behalf of Thuiswinkel.org and PostNL.

So to 2.17 million people in the netherlands did in the third quarter made a purchase using their smartphone. That equates to 20 percent of all Dutch online purchase did. That percentage was a year ago on 14 percent.

Especially in the age group of 15 to 39 years is higher than average often uses a smartphone to make purchases. Of this group order nearly a third something via his or her telephone.

20 billion

In total is now 9 percent of all online purchases made using a smartphone. Twelve months ago, that was 7 per cent. In the same period, the total number of online purchases by a quarter to 41,65 million with a turnover of 4.48 billion euros.
