KPN launched up in 2014, but had never set foot gain ground in a cloud storage market dominated by big players like Dropbox, Apple’s iCloud and Google Drive.
KPN Up has customers sent a letter to inform them about the upcoming closure. There is also a separate open support page. Then we read that paying up-customers do not pay more from April and it all will no longer be available from mid-May to upload new files.
It is not known why KPN unplug from Up but it is likely that the service could not compete with the major cloud storage services. KPN encourages Up customers to switch to services if onedrive, Google Drive or Dropbox
