The Huawei VR was announced at the Chinese launch of the P9 smartphone which recently unveiled the company, reports TechRadar .
The P9 or the larger P9 Plus must the VR-glasses be pushed in order to make use of it. The older Huawei Mate 8 can handle the glasses.
The Huawei VR resembles the Gear VR Samsung. Both devices use a mobile phone to provide a virtual reality experience, a touch pad and back button on the right, and a ring to focus on top of the glasses.
One difference is that the VR goggles Huawei uses a USB-C connector, while the Gear VR still includes the older MicroUSB aanlsuiting. Also, the resolution of the P9 (1920 by 1080 pixels) lower than that of the S7 (2560 by 1440 pixels).
Huawei promises that with the launch of its VR goggles and forty four thousand free movies free games will be available. It is unclear whether the device will also appear outside of China, and what the price will be
