A US man must have felt at least one minute immortal. A bug in the Google Domains website where users can get domain names, he was accidentally owner of Google.com.
In a blog post he wrote Sanmay Ved ‘for fun’ checked that the domain name google.com was available, and to his amazement he could settle and register the domain name for only 12 dollar (approximately € 10.70).
However, the euphoria was not of long duration. After paying Ved received several e-mails in which the purchase was confirmed, but within one minute followed by another e-mail in which the purchase was canceled.
The cancellation of the purchase bother Ved not: “I can at least say that I was the owner of Google.com for one minute,” he writes. After the cancellation of its acquisition costs incurred were refunded by Google.
