Huge Roman camp discovered in Hannover – NU.nl

The scientists from the University of Osnabrück mention the discovery of the thirty-hectare camp “a sensation”. It is the first large camp that was discovered on the North German Plain.

The excavations were found among more nails for sandals and copper coins that were used specifically as soldiers money.

This kind of camps was evening specially erected after a (day) march of the Roman army
