Forced Windows 10 update ‘a mistake’ – Telegraaf.nl

Some people who use Windows 7 or 8.1, not yet free switched to Windows 10, the past few days were suddenly forced update to the latest version of the operating system. According to Microsoft, it is a mistake

.

The update was carried out via the Windows Update program, which also security patches to users sent. According to Microsoft, there is a mistake which the Windows 10 Update ‘voluntarily’ to ‘mandatory’ was put. People who do not pay attention to what kind of updates they receive via this channel, also could get a nasty surprise because the system performed the transition to a chosen date.

It is not known how many Windows users involuntarily thereby to Windows 10 are switched. These people may within a month after the update still go back to the previous version.

Microsoft Windows 10-switching process is now completely disconnected from Windows Update, so that the error can not occur. People who were operating ‘reserved’ for the launch (which means that the files already downloaded) retain the option still

.
