American astronauts go Sunday again a spacewalk at the International Space Station (ISS). Space Agency NASA has given their authorization even got one this week astronaut water in his helmet after work in space.
Water in space helmet can be perilous. In 2013, an astronaut almost drowned when he got too much water in his helmet. But according to NASA the leak is a known issue, and approved the spacesuit of astronaut Terry Virts. American astronaut estimated that there was about 45 milliliters of water in his helmet when he was busy with work Wednesday on the outside of the space station. That is approximately equal to the content of a shot glass. Water in the spacesuit is condensation.
Virts the moisture came only in the helmet at the end of his spacewalk. The 47-year-old astronaut must make three spacewalks with his colleagues to perform work on cables. NASA is working on the construction of hundreds of meters of cable outside the ISS. There berths where commercial space capsules Boeing and SpaceX can hitching in the future.
