Google has for years Wallet, a payment product that is not so popular. It was, so far, very little effort into making it popular. That is now changing. Google has found that Apple’s payment service with Apple Pay nice scores, and wants Wallet now wear to telecom companies, smartphone manufacturers and banks
All this will lead to a new app to be launched in May. The Wall Street Journal writes about talks with the companies that also Apple Pay embraced as a new payment option.
Wallet has not become popular because other companies do not have wanted to participate. Moreover, in addition to Apple Pay a hijacker on the coast Wallet: Samsung. The Korean electronics giant has recently acquired LoopPay. This gives smartphone owners the option to pay with all phones, as it also works without NFC chip in the unit.
