IDC: Android and iOS only grow – Tech News

The IDC has once again figures released on the number of shipped smartphones. It was to be expected, but Android continues to grow in market share, the market grew by more than 25 percent. Remarkably, however, the number of Windows Phone smartphones shipped collapsed.

Android and iOS continue to grow in the current market for smart phones, though iOS has to cede market share to Android. Apple is also a thing straighten the upcoming iPhone 6. The number of shipped iOS devices has increased compared to a year ago with 12.7 percent.

It’s unexpected, but the Windows Phone platform from Microsoft has been a big hit, Microsoft’s market share dropped from 3.4 percent to 2.5 percent. The unit shipment dropped from 8.2 to 7.4 million copies. BlackBerry also declined further from 2.8 to 0.5 percent. IDC has also released information about the distribution of expenditure, as expected, Apple is doing better in the high end as consumers opt for cheaper Android as phone
