Alpha Metal Samsung Galaxy smartphone from September sale – Techzine

Samsung has a press release this morning presented his first metal smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. Samsung always normally makes use of plastic but now the company’s horizons and it comes with a device with a metal frame, the device is not completely made of metal.

Samsung used all its smartphones, including the high-end models, as more manufacturers use metal enclosures are normally plastic, the pressure was slowly increased to Samsung to include more high-quality materials to work. Samsung now brings a first high-end smartphone with a metal frame, the back of the device is still made of plastic.

According to Samsung, it is a high-end smartphone with a reasonable high price tag of 600 euros. If we look at the specifications of the device would not match that at all. Samsung has made use of an octa-core Exynos processor, it works on the principle big.Little, with four powerful cores with a high clock speed of 1.8 Ghz take the hard work on their behalf and four less powerful cores with a lower clock speed of 1.3 Ghz do lighter work. The chip will switch between these cores depending on the use. For the graphics is a Mali T628 GPU present. Furthermore, the device is equipped with 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage which is not expandable.

On paper the computing power of the device is indeed high end but probably slightly less than the Galaxy S5. The phone features a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, which is quite a bit less than we are high-end models, these have now used all over 1920 x 1080 pixels. The battery capacity seems to coincide with 1860 mAh, especially considering the use of an octa-core processor. Somewhat disappointing

The device also like the Galaxy S5 has a fingerprint scanner which the device can be unlocked. The device will be available in September in the Netherlands and Belgium in the colors black, white, gold and silver for a suggested retail price of 600 euros.
