HTC device has small screen, no 3.5 mm jack – Bright.nl

HTC’s new Ultra has a second screen, as a bar above the big screen. Just like in the iPhone 7 is missing a headphone jack.

HTC’s new Ultra has an extra screen at the top of the front, to the right of the front camera. On that bar you can create permanent notifications, shortcuts, or playback controls for music. HTC copy this LG, with are V10 and V20 are already two smartphones with an extra screen at the front introduced. The large 5.7 inch screen of the HTC YOU Ultra has a 2560×1440 resolution, 2 inch Dual Display has 160 x 1040 pixels.

Also notable is that the unit is no ordinary 3.5 mm headphone jack, like the iPhone 7. The phone uses a usb-c connector for audio and charging. In the USA costs the unit 749 dollars, but the Dutch price is not yet known.

The Ultra has a Snapdragon 821 chip, 4GB ram and 64 or 128 GB of storage, expandable with microsd cards. On the back is a 12 megapixel Ultrapixel camera with laser-autofocus and optical image stabilization, while the front camera with a 16 megapixel sensor. The device has 3000mAh battery. The You Ultra is from 2 march to purchase in the Netherlands, in black and blue.

market Share evaporate

HTC has been years in financial heavy weather, due to the falling sales of its smartphones. The Taiwanese company has much of its lost market share. In the Netherlands, had HTC in the summer of 2016 is still less than 1.7 percent market share, which it is not more in the top 10 smartphone brands. The company hopes to turn the tide with his VR-goggles Vive, which last year came on the market.
