Twitterverzet against Trump from ‘alternative accounts’ grows – NOS

There is diving more and more Twitter accounts that are similar to those of official U.s. government agencies. Who was behind the accounts, is unknown. But the messages that are posted give the impression that they come from workers of the official bodies.

With the ‘alternative’ accounts would they want to protest against what they see as attempts by president Trump to climate researchers and other scientists to silence.

In the list of alternative Twitter accounts are also the environmental agency, the EPA, and space agency NASA.

In one of the tweets writes the account @RogueNASA that the anonymous creators can’t allow that Trump the science the silence imposes. The account is that the creators of the unofficial “verzetsteam” of NASA.

Tuesday dived the alternative account of the National Park Service: the service nature parks and national monuments manages. That account was created after tweets on the account of Badlands National Park were removed.

Also of the Fish and Wildlife Service published an alternative account. Furthermore, there are alternative accounts of the supervisor of food and medicines, the National Institutes of Health, the health institution did Centers of Disease Control and Prevention and the national weather service.

The accounts all have the logo of the official services. But the names of the accounts on Twitter are almost all of by ‘Alt’ prefixed, which indicates ‘alternative’. Also of those accounts is not known who is behind it.

Last week, staff of the ministry of Internal Affairs told that they had to stop and tweet. The measure was responded to on an employee that a message retweette about the turnout at the inauguration of Trump. He also had a message shared about deleted articles about climate change and civil rights on the website of the White House.

Employees of the environment department, the EPA and various ministries to confirm that they instructions have been given to websites to remove it. Also make them subject to restrictions if they want to express themselves on social media.
