Xiaomi last year sold 61 million smartphones – NU.nl

The figures were announced by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun-through Weibo. At present sells Xiaomi smartphones in countries including China, India and Indonesia.

In 2013, the Chinese manufacturer sold 18.7 million units in 2012 approximately 7.2 million mobile devices, which sales 2014 has increased considerably.

The Chinese Huawei recently announced that it sold 75 million smartphones this year. This would mean that Xiaomi occupies the fourth place walked the smartphone market, behind Huawei, Apple and Samsung.

Xiaomi also introduced the budget smartphone Redmi 2, which is sold in China from January 9 for a price of about 93 Euro. The phone features a 4.7 HD screen, Qualcomm 410 chip, 1GB of RAM and an 8 megapixel camera
