Apple sued for deception with storage – NU.nl

This was reported by Patently Apple , which has seen the court documents. The lawsuit was filed by a group of Americans who feel duped.

According to prosecutors, Apple would mislead consumers with storage memory of mobile devices, because the company from Cupertino gives no information about how much storage space occupies the mobile operating system iOS . This is an average of about 3 GB.

The number of GBs that iOS 8 holds, the total storage space for sets with 8 and 16GB considerably reduced. For some devices, Apple’s mobile operating system takes up almost a quarter of total storage space. According to prosecutors, Apple does not communicate this clearly to consumers.

Other manufacturers often also report the total storage of a mobile device, not only the storage that is available to the user.
