Spotify: Sunny day = happy music – Computer Idea

Spotify has a year long large-scale research into the relationship between weather and music. 85 billion anonymous music streams contributed to the outcome.

The streaming service previously worked together with analysts from Accuweather. A distinction was made between five different types of weather: sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy, and snow.

The conclusions often lie for the hand. On sunny days, and is usually more upbeat music is played, while on rainy days the pace is lower. On these days we listen also prefer acoustic than electronic music.

Self-listening

The findings of Spotify are on this site to listen to. You can decide for yourself whether you winter or summer music want to hear by at the top left on the back-button. This is also a random city loaded.

Apparently listening in Groningen on cloudy days likes to Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley. So you see again.
