Review: Fire Emblem Heroes is a gamble for Nintendo NU.nl

After the success of Super Mario Run is now also in Fire Emblem on smartphones to play. While Mario’s mobile outing with ten dollars costs and the full game delivers, choose Nintendo with Fire Emblem Heroes for a free to play model

Fire Emblem Heroes is not the Fire Emblem as we of the series are accustomed to. There are no large areas where a tough battle is fought, which can take hours. It is a smartphonegame with short pots of a few minutes. A game that is constantly tempted to spend money while it is unclear for which is paid.

It is a game that endlessly goes on, but a stamina meter that determines whether a game can be played. Despite these notable changes is Fire Emblem Heroes is still a real Nintendo game.

gaming machine

Characters from all the Fire Emblem games come together to against each other to compete. The player sends a team of four heroes. New characters can be earned by so-called orbs in to deliver.

It is not possible to have favorite heroes from earlier games, specifically free to play. Fire Emblem Heroes is a gacha game, which the player must gambling to new characters.

With five orbs can be a hero to be summoned, but it is not clear what there appears. Gives the player a handle at the slots and it is to hope that there is a favourite to come outside.

Not only is determined in this way the hero appears, but also how strong this is. A character with five star is top notch, while a one star hero is actually a loser is that bizarre many specific items need to grow. We have after countless hours of play still no five-star-hero, while in others as multiple behind the slots reels. Unfair? Yes, but so is sticking the game in each other.

instead of that Nintendo simply Fire Emblem-skin on this model has pasted, there is fortunately more done. The battles of a few minutes are really fun.

as in pots in large Fire Emblem games need to be taken into account with the type of enemies and the environment. The tactical possibilities are not so great, but know just enough to excite to also another game yet to be entertaining.

Often, it is in gacha games, the actual gameplay is secondary and you can play the game automatically battle. You can do that in Fire Emblem Heroes also, but the battles are too much fun.

Hope

The depth in the rest of the game to find. Island is really full to play on three different levels of difficulty. In addition, it is possible to face ever stronger enemies to train for a team. There can also be a battle against teams of other players as objects to earn money.

Fire Emblem Heroes is also mainly a game for the long term, with special events, frequent levelling to be as strong as possible and always continue to hope that good heroes. The game is also an excellent to play without spending money. Certainly in the first ten hours are enough items handed out to keep going.

in Addition, there is just lots of Fire Emblem in this Fire Emblem. It starts with the bizarre issue that directly from the smartphone resonated, but also on all the characters, voice acting, story element, etc., that the game is so recognizable. It’s pure fan service, in a good way.

even so, Fire Emblem Heroes madly against when the game is compared to the traditional series. As a smartphonegame where the Nintendo quality from dripping, however, this is a winner. Nintendo shows very good to know how this specific market works. The business model may be starting to resent it, but also apart from that, there is a lot of fun to be had. This game can be if it is well even about a year or two yet to be disclosed.

Conclusion

This is not the familiar Fire Emblem on the smartphone. Fire Emblem Heroes takes the strategic battles, characters and bizarre music of the well-known series and it stops in a different kind of game. One that is made for smartphones, with short pots and a long breath. The result is the ultimate gaming machine.

  • Fine short strategic battles
  • fun
  • beautifully decorated
  • Almost finished
  • Special codes needed to make friends
  • Gambling
